Red Rocks must be the place, because David Byrne has just added a second date at Colorado's fabled amphitheatre to close out his extensive 2018 tour.

In addition to his previously-announced (now sold out) show on Tuesday, Aug. 28, Byrne will also perform on Monday, Aug. 27. Tickets for the second date will go on sale this Friday, Jan. 26; follow this link to get yours on AXS.com.

Byrne's Red Rocks run is currently the final stop on his summer tour in support of his upcoming album American Utopia, due out March 9. In a recent blog post, Byrne outlined his concept for the tour, which will feature a mix of new songs and Talking Heads classics.

"Like the concept behind the show that was filmed for Stop Making Sense, the idea is super obvious and easy to describe," Byrne wrote. "In that show, it was 'bit by bit show what goes into making a show, and then activate it'. In this one, it is 'allow everyone to be mobile on an empty stage' (and imagine what that allows)."

In addition to the news on his new album, his first solo project since 2004, Byrne recently launched the (much-needed) Reasons To Be Cheerful project with a talk at the New School in New York City. You can watch that in full in the video above.

So there are a lot of reasons to be cheerful if you're a David Byrne fan. Follow this link for tickets to his Red Rocks show on Monday, Aug. 27 and keep it on AXS.com for plenty more on the return of this music icon.
