Former Talking Heads frontman David Byrne will continue to build his prolific portfolio in 2018, announcing a new solo album on Monday (Jan. 8) called American Utopia, due out March 9. The project will be backed by a North American tour this spring.

While the Talking Heads broke up in the early '90s, Byrne has given fans plenty of modern-day material since then. His last solo album, Grown Backwards, came out in 2004, and was followed up with a handful of unique collaboration projects, including work with Brian Eno, Fatboy Slim and St. Vincent.

The first single from American Utopia continues to celebrate his love for a surprising yet smoothly executed collab. “Everybody Come to My House” shares production and other credits with longtime collaborator Eno, U.K. singer Sampha and Onyx Collective’s Happa Isaiah Barr. The song comes complete with visuals by Robert Edridge-Waks, as Byrne gives fans a catchy, funky house-party song with drums and horns, in the way only Byrne can.

The rest of the album boasts an equally diverse set of helping hands, including Oneohtrix Point Never’s Daniel Lopatin, Doveman’s Thomas Bartlett, Jam City, Rodaidh McDonald and Jack Pinate, according to Rolling Stone.

Byrne also announced a brief North American tour to accompany the album. He says the live show will be “the most ambitious show I’ve done since the shows that were filmed for [Talking Heads concert film] Stop Making Sense, so fingers crossed."
