Talking Head and all-round legend David Byrne has lined up a North American tour for next Spring!
In March he’ll be heading out on a six-date run in support of a new solo album, which is expected to come out in March as well. It’ll be his first tour since 2009 (not counting the dates he went on with St Vincent in support of their album ‘Love This Giant’).
A post on David’s website said that the shows would feature hits from Talking Heads as well as new music. He also shared a personal note, where he teased more about the stage set-up, where wireless gear would allow musicians to roam around the stage more.
As reported by Rolling Stone, David said of the upcoming tour: “The band and I will be testing all of this in front of a live audience during a small number of shows in the beginning of March. We’ll be doing some new songs… and many others that will, I assume, be familiar. I’m excited. This is the most ambitious show I’ve done since the shows that were filmed for Stop Making Sense, so fingers crossed”.
