Nico Muhly And Ira Glass Collaborate With Color Guard Team For David Byrne’s Contemporary Color

Via Pitchfork

Last year, David Byrne staged Contemporary Color, an event where ten color guards outfits from across North America performed dance routines to original music by artists like St. Vincent, Nelly Furtado, Ad-Rock and Money Mark, How to Dress Well, tUnE-yArDs, and Byrne himself. The event has been documented in Contemporary Color, a new documentary directed by Bill and Turner Ross. Today, you can watch a clip of Nico Muhly and Ira Glass collaborating with the color guard team Alter Ego. You can watch the clip, which splices Muhly's music with Glass' interviews with the Alter Ego members, below. Contemporary Color premieres April 14, which is tomorrow night, at NYC's Tribeca Film Festival. Byrne will lead a conversation about the movie at the premiere.
