The Roots, D’Angelo, David Byrne, Wu-Tang Clan, More To Play First Ever Roots Picnic NYC

For nearly a decade, the Roots Picnic has annually taken place in Philadelphia. (It just happened this past weekend.) This fall, the Roots are bringing the festival to New York City. It happens October 1-2 at Bryant Park. Questlove and Black Thought announced the festival's new location in a new freestyle revealing a lineup that includes D'Angelo, Wu-Tang Clan, David Byrne, Nile Rodgers, Kevin Gates, KRS-One, Jeremih, Deerhoof, John Mayer, EPMD, Swizz Beatz, and more. Wu-Tang, Byrne, and Rodgers will all be backed by the Roots during their performances. Watch the announcement below.
