I am starting to believe that every song is a love song, just as every poem is a love poem, simply by virtue of being written.
At some point—if not in the writing, then in the playing, the recording, the listening, the remixing, the sharing, the singing along—capital L o-v-e comes into the equation. Even if someone is singing about something they hate, their object of contempt can usually be understood as a threat to something they love. So it's always there, or at least I think it is, hope it is, and am actively looking for it to be.
Maybe I'm a sap.
Maybe you disagree.
Either way, the world could always use a little more love, so here are some love songs for you.
